Acting for the landlord, Edinburgh Airport, this instruction was one of a number of rent reviews which we undertook for the same client in the course of 2010 and 2011. The review was in respect of a ground lease and after gathering robust comparable evidence and engaging with the tenant, we negotiated a 92% increase in the rent from £30,000pa to £57,500pa. This was achieved despite the generally poor prevaling economic climate at the time of review.
