This 1.25 acre site had been marketed extensively for a period of time by the selling agent. We negotiated the successful purchase of the site on behalf of our client at a reduced price.
Thereafter, we provided strategic agency advice and extensively marketed the site, and within a short period of time, entered into negotiations for a 12,000 sq ft design and build option on the site. Planning consent was obtained during this process.
The unit will be occupied by Hertz for their van hire Scottish headquarters. Hertz have agreed a 10 year full repairing and insuring lease.
Work is due to be completed in Q4 2014, well in advance of the agreed longstop date.
